ABOUT MISS LIZ
Liz Kash Stroppel has been teaching early childhood music for over a decade. After receiving her certification from Music Together, a renowned research based program, she worked with hundreds of families in Sea Cliff, Oyster Bay, and Garden City. In 2020, some families requested backyard visits for socially distant classes with their close family and friends, and Backyard Boogie was born!
Since then, she has found a home at St. Luke’s in Sea Cliff, where she delivers her own curriculum, exposing families to a variety of music styles and musical activities that include her own original songs and chants. Miss Liz is also a music teacher in residence at several area preschools and daycares, including The Portledge School and Little Friends at Friends Academy.
She is passionate about early childhood learning, and strives to make each child in her classes feel safe, seen, and treasured. Miss Liz is honored to be able to bring the joy of music to this new generation!

“I have been taking my son to Backyard Boogie with Miss Liz since he was only a couple months old. It was such an amazing bonding experience for us to share music class together. He would babble and try to make different sounds during and after classes. He began to learn, grow, and sing the songs we learned. Miss Liz shared a playlist of the songs that we love to sing and dance to at home. During classes, he enjoyed every moment dancing around, exploring instruments, sharing with friends.
